At Novato High School, we are a high-performing academic institution with a 6-year WASC Accreditation.  We offer a wide-variety of clubs and activities for our students.  Our MSA (Marin School of the Arts)  has over 500 students a year studying Theatre Arts, Music Theatre, Dance, Vocal Music, Creative Writing, Visual Arts, and Cinema.  We aim to create a rigorous, relevant, authentic learning experience for all students.   Students also plan for their future through the Medical Careers Pathway and in its fourth year of existence, we educate 30+ students/year in Medical Careers. 

Novato High School (NHS) is located in the heart of the city of Novato thirty miles north of San Francisco along Highway 101. The entire staff at Novato High School is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of the students and the greater community through innovation, pursuit of excellence and rigorous review of student data using the latest trends in education.

The school, built in 1957, is the older of two comprehensive high schools in the Novato Unified School District.  Novato High School is situated on a thirty-eight acre site, with a total of fifty-six classrooms and labs, two gymnasiums, a performing arts center, five computer labs, library, dance studio, weight room, and innovative new Production Studio.  Outdoor facilities include tennis courts, basketball courts, softball and baseball diamonds, a football stadium, a soccer field, and a swimming pool.  These facilities are utilized by students, and groups from the greater community.  We are building a new cork turf baseball and softball field and 100-yard practice cork turf facility for all athletics teams.  Near those new 3 fields we will have a new Performance Arts Center completed in the beginning of Winter 2021; as well as a brand new state-of-the-art Science Center with 10 luxurious classrooms by August 2020.
