Novato High School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month all month long and concluded with an inspiring performance from the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura. (Orquesta de Instrumentos Reciclados Cateura), a community music group from Paraguay that builds gorgeous instruments from the landfill under their village. They were featured in Landfill Harmonic Orchestra!
After the bilingual concert, the group spoke with English Language Learners in Spanish about their experience and inspired students to leverage music as the universal language that brings people together.
